Our Ego Establishes Our Architecture of Existence

In a general context, our existence is based on three distinct formats:

  1. Religious Doctrine.

  2. Architecture of Identity.

  3. Destiny.

Religious Doctrine: The "Warning System"

Religious Doctrines are often viewed as guidance, establishing sets of rules, towards a a moral righteous existence. It is a structural framework, an outline defining a direction in life towards eternal salvation. "And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burden..." (Surah Al-Fatir 35:18). "Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained." (Surah Al-Muddaththir 74:38). "So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." (Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7-8). "And the book [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say, 'Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it?'" (Surah Al-Kahf 18:49). "And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant." (Surah Al-Anbya 21:47). It takes requires a great deal of effort to achieve. Each soul stands alone in its accounting.

The Architecture of Identity

Freedom of Choice, enables us to determine our direction in life to a great extent. The choices we make are related to our DNA, our Environment, the Way we were Raised, our Cultural and Religious beliefs, and Experiences. Discernment depends to a great extent on these factors.

The Architecture of Identity is interesting because it shapes and molds a people into what they are today. A common Narrative of the Jews lies in the Holocaust. It deals with the stories a people tell themselves about their origins and suffering. This creates a "shared psyche" that dictates how they react to modern threats.

It will be observed that in general we are dominated by our Ego/Nafs. When the "Architecture of Identity" becomes too focused on the self (Ego/Nafs), it will ultimately collapse. Every religion warns of a "Final Accounting." This isn't just a threat; it’s a spiritual law of thermodynamics. If you build a system (a nation, an economy, a civilization) on debt, oppression, or "what we want" without regard for the "atom's weight," the system eventually runs out of moral energy.

Destiny

“Destiny” in a way explains why we seem to be heading toward a dead end. Every nation on earth has a historical background. Their identities were built on their experiences. Their survival, dominance and demise are all related to these factors, regardless of religious beliefs or doctrines. They are what they are as a result of their circumstances. It is this “bleeding” of their “Created States” that caused the angels to fear and caused them to question God’s wisdom over the Creation of Adam.

In a certain context our “choices” are rarely free. They are the result of scars. Hitler left many scars behind and we are witnessing their consequences. We are rebuilding the Tower of Babel again, but this time with digital and financial tools that make the "stranglehold" global.

In both religious and sociological terms, a nation is often defined by its collective memory and shared responsibility. In the Dharmic View (Collective Karma) in Hinduism and Buddhism, there is a concept of Kula Karma (family/group karma). A nation is seen as a collection of individuals whose past actions have ripened simultaneously, placing them in the same geographical and political "reality." Their current state is the "ripening" of previous collective choices.

In the Abrahamic View (Qur’an and Old Testament), nations are often addressed as single entities. The Quran states: “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.” (Surah Ra’d 13:11). This suggests that a nation’s reality is a direct reflection of its internal moral and psychological state.

The Architecture of Egoism

To a great extent we are engulfed in a battle between divine stewardship and our tendency toward destructive egoism. There Our whole moral value system has disintegrated. The "What We Want" mentality, deals with making a name for ourselves! It is self-centered and totally egoistic in nature and outlook. No considerations are considered whatsoever. This has ultimately led to global chaos. Every aspect of existence today is shattered beyond recognition; beyond every level of justice and sanity.

Today, the Architecture of The Will is built around what the individual wants in life, regardless of the consequences. With individuals, societies and nations, building their own Towers of Babel, you can image the impact this is having on the direction the world.

If we accept that every "atom's weight" is recorded, then the current state of the world (politically and economically) is not an accident. It is the physical collective manifestation of "what we want." However, the "Good" still continues to exist to some extent. It has become individualized.

The Inevitable is Unavoidable

Never take on the role of God. Even acting in God’s name does not involve egoism. It deals with submission and servitude based on accountability. Whether it is through legal systems, economic shifts, or geopolitical blowback, “learning the hard way” is simply the universe reasserting the laws of accountability that the "God-player" tried to ignore.

In the past, the "Architecture of Identity" was a structure we lived within (a faith, a tradition, a village). Today, the architecture is the Self. When humans "play God," they aren't just seeking power; they are attempting to overwrite the "atom's weight" of accountability with their own personal will.

There is the Necessity to Reset the button. The "Annihilation" mentioned in the Scriptures is often framed as a cleansing of the ledger. The "Architecture of Identity" meeting its "Atom's Weight" of Accountability is a reality that exists in life. It takes place from time to time and does not need to wait for the Day of Judgement.
