INTRODUCTION
Many will not admit it, but most have had an experience with SIHR (witchcraft). They have been attacked by ‘entities’ sent by opponents who resort to this approach as a means of settling scores. It’s a common practice worldwide.
There are two aspects to this issue. The first deals with the ‘Practitioner of the Arts’ and the second deals with individuals who go to these people to settle scores. There are many kinds of practitioners. Some do good in a way while others serve clients fulfil their goals and objectives. Clients range from individuals seeking the hand of a woman, or success over a business venture, or seeking revenge against an upright person, or often, two persons adopting the same approach, using entities (jinns or spirits) where both use sorcery. The consequences are beyond one’s imagination.
The onus of responsibility falls totally on the client. The practitioner merely offers a service. When things get ‘hot’, like Iblis at the battlefield of Badr where he withdrew. Likewise, the practitioner will also withdraw because it not his problem, it’s yours.
I will not go into this lengthy business of affairs because it not my goal and objective to do so. I merely want to help you develop total reliance in Allah. Believe me, it is no easy task. It requires Firmness of Faith (Iman) and Total Trust in Allah (Tawwakul).
Life is full of challenges. Many drive their car carefully to avoid an accident. Even if you do not knock someone’s car, you do still get knocked. Life is such. As such, it would be best to place total trust in Allah, because He sees, hears, and knows: nothing takes place without Him knowing.
In life, being an upright person does not make you popular. It is common for honest law enforcement officers worldwide to be transferred to remote areas if they don’t sing along with what is in practice, in this case, corruption.
Individuals who are corrupt cannot tolerate an upright person, because that person does not accept bribes or go along with a set plan. They often turn to sorcery to achieve their goals or attack the one who has turned them down. This is normal.
However, things become messy when a person of position acts boldly, ignoring justice, just to teach you a lesson just because he or she has the power to do so. I faced such a situation. I followed the rules of patience, pleaded for consideration based on the facts, but was still denied it and ignored. After pleading many times, I made myself clear that I would invoke Allah’s curse, and I did so after being refused to resolve the issue.
What I did was a last resort in accordance with Shari’ah. I did not like doing so but I had no choice. Guided by Allah, I took several steps which produced positive results. I do not know the outcome in relation to the one who denied me justice. It’s not my concern. My concern was and is to avoid taking this drastic step because the Hadith is clear on invoking a curse. If the person does not deserve it, it (the curse) will return to the one who uttered it, said the Prophet (s.a.w.). However, that person responded in an evil manner resorting to sihr
There is yet another specialised type of ‘hoodwinker’. He appears to be a man of God but in fact, he hoodwinks many into believing in him through the use of some ‘entity’. We see this taking place all over the world and recently in Africa with cults. Some Christian Chapels outside Traditional Christianity (Churches) are known to indulge in this art. Once you become a member, you cannot leave. Anyone, leaving is tormented. I know of such a tormented person. You can even be 'infected' online without realising it when someone you trust in, knows all about your 'inner self'.
DEVELOPING FAITH AND TRUST IN ALLAH
Developing Firmness of Faith (Iman) and Total Trust in Allah (Tawwakul) is easier said than done. I am undergoing one evolution after another. My latest encounter, brought me to this point. We all go through such trials and tribulations in life. I have reached a point of total awareness that my existence belongs and is owned by Allah, and that to get the best of both worlds requires that I submit totally to His commands and only do good as advised by the Prophet (s.a.w.).
Adopting this approach is clear but it does not mean that you will not be put to the test in your faith and beliefs. When this takes place, meaning that, having complied and responded with valid verses from the Qur’an and Ahadith, things did not work out for me. I faced this situation and was in total despair. I then made a supplication to Allah, saying to Him, that I accept whatever decision He will make in this matter, whether I am to die through the hands of an evil entity or not because all my recitations did not work after some days.
It was Allah’s guidance, that directed me to ask Gemini A.I. and I was introduced to many concepts produced by Islamic scholars and Sufees over how to respond to shir. It was pointed out to me that my faith and reliance in Allah was right all along. What I was not aware was that this evil entity was testing me over my faith by returning.
I suddenly regained my faith and trust in Allah. It was pointed out to me that Allah has not placed a burden on anyone that he cannot bear (Surah Baqarah). It was pointed out to me that Allah never abandon those who truly believe in Him. It was pointed out that I had willingly submitted to whatever Allah decides, indicating a total state of submission. I was then introduced to a whole process of living up to expectations in the face of adversity.
RECITATIONS TO CONSIDER
I will not write down every detail but provides you with “Amal” to consider to practice. I adopt this stance because humans are lazy and seek shortcuts, and even after introducing them to these “ayats”, most are lazy or may not even believe in them. Here is a list of considerations:
- Reciting the famous Dua of our Nabi (s.a.w.) against an enemy before him found in Abu Dawud and An-Nasa’i.
- Calling the Adhan in your house if an evil entity persists or returns to terrorise you, after all your recitations.
- The Dua of Six-Sided Protection.
- The Dua of Ka’b al-Ahbar (The Sheild Against Sihr)
- The 33 Verses known as the Manzil verses of the Qur’an.
I do not guarantee that doing all this will work for you because it depends to a great extent on your state of Iman, Taqwa, Yaqeen and Tawwakul. It also depends to a great extent on Allah. Seek His forgiveness, mercy and kindness. He sees, hears and knows, and only He can save and protect you. Total surrender and submission to His will is important. Life about Him, not about you. He is not there is answer your whims and fancies. Repent and seek his forgiveness and Insha Allah, Allah has not placed a burden on any soul that it cannot bear, and Allah never abandons those who believe in him. Ameen. [Mokhtar Stork. 25 Jan, 2026]
