Due to science and technological advancements, the art of war has taken on new dimensions. The focus is not only on global domination but also outer space as well.
The recent bombing by Israel on Qatar, is an indication of open disrespect of a nation’s sovereignty. To bomb IRAN, YEMEN, SYRIA, and QATAR you have to CROSS the AIRSPACE of several countries. How could America and Israel do this without permission? Did some Arab counties close one eye to serve their own interest? Or was it due to American stealth bombers that cannot be detected?
In every global scenario that is a major player supported by other lesser global players sharing the same ideals. The Americans, Russians and Chinese, all have their own goals which some time overlap and cause serious tensions.
The difference from the past and now is that anything can be done from a distance regardless of global opinion. Assassinations are a common occurrence, depending on which side of the fence you are sitting. The global media (CNN, BBC, Al JAZEERA etc.,) all present doctored news supporting their respective global masters.
When you view the number of assassinations and bombings conducted by Israel in the Middle East, it reflects a disturbing trend. It appears to indicate that there is only one direction for the world to follow, namely a western dominated one that dictates terms and conditions.
In the meantime, at a national level there is another scenario in place which has resulted in upheavals in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and now Nepal. Gone are the days where people in power could just bulldoze the public. These are all unhealthy trends that can be avoided if corruption and abuse of power is contained.
One solution by the corrupt elite is to dish out goodies to pacify society, which in turn means borrowing more money and increasing national debt. Whether we like it or not, corruption and abuse of power must end. The consequences are evident. It is also pointless to make a show of ‘cleaning up’ with no real results. Often, the powerful and rich get away or receive reduced sentences, while the poor man on the street is sentence to a full prison term just stealing to survive.
Terrorism has no place in today’s world. The best approach to solving this issue is to address discontentment. Had this been done decades ago over Palestine, we will not witness the Genocide of Gaza. The denial of the establishment of a Palestinian State and the rules governing its formation has led to terrorism. It is pointless to blame Hamas. In Vietnam, it was the Vietcong. It’s the result of decades of oppression and extermination of people. Yet, one wonders why many western countries won’t put their foot down to end this.
Western nations are unable to shape Israel as it does with other nations. The answer is evident. We are beholden to the Holocaust but not to the Genocide of Gaza. There would be no war in Ukraine had NATO not expanded to cause Russia to feel insecure. Unfortunately, global politics is not about democracy or justice. It’s about domination of the world. What we are witnessing is a trend that is extending to outer space and which ultimately result in the demise of earth!
Global Political Indifference is the main cause. Every global institution, notably the U.N. is helpless. Every U.N. General Assembly meeting ends up with a resolution being vetoed. Life today is far clearer and more evident to every individual on earth than it was in the past. In the past you had hope at least. Today, the road is a dead end. Even Hyundai of South Korea is experiencing it under Trump’s policies.
We are now witnessing a rise in anarchy. Public responses in Africa, Indonesia and Nepal are clear indicators. When insanity takes over, buildings, homes etc., are burnt and looted. People are also killed. It takes time for things to return back to normal. Huge financial losses are incurred, which in turn lead to further borrowings, because current debt (loans) cannot be met. The current state of affairs globally, clearly indicates the level of decadence in Global Political Leadership.
In the future, to survive, one will need to live in silence. You will be left with two choices, to live or to die. Most, will carry on until the final straw is broken, then living becomes meaningless and death your only choice. It is a frightening scenario, and I pray we do not have to go through it as we witness in the movies.
It is equally unfortunate to witness the degeneration of human behaviour. It has resulted in oppressive laws to combat human misbehaviour and bad conduct, which in turn to some extent is the result of neglect, lack attention and injustice. We are living in an era where the ungodly now becomes sacred and the sacred outdated and irrelevant.
Is there any hope for change? My answer is: “It is a losing battle. With the passage of time, we have degenerated to becoming similar to animals in the wild. We have to come up with one law after another to keep society in check. We approve lifestyles that later become a threat to human existence and then have to approve another set of laws to overcome them. We live selfishly to fulfill our ambitions of splendour and grandeur in the name of modernization without a conscience, only in a worldly context without any spiritual salvation.” [Mokhtar Stork 11 Sept 2025]
